I dislike people who are emotionally clingy.
Because I tend to start hating them gradually.
I dislike being emotionally dependent.
Because I don’t want to keep people close.
I dislike people who refuse to let go.
Because they make me emotionally exhausted.
I dislike people who see me as who I want them to see.
And not trying to see who I really am.

The words ‘I’m fine’ left my lips, and I regretted them almost immediately. Then I smother the regret and let my mask set itself in place; showing the world ‘I’m fine’. I push my emotions to rock bottom and place a smile on my face, making sure it’d reach my eyes. But it almost never does.
I’m fine.
Is this what she meant by ‘You’re encased in an impenetrable wall of ice where nobody can reach you because you won’t let them‘?
But ‘I’m fine’. Really am.
I’m just too numb to feel.
I still laugh, I still cry, I still rage.
But you and I both know…
that anger is the only emotion I never have the need to fake.
I’m a stonewall.
